Klein Vrystaat is located against the mountain in Clarens nature reserve. Upon our arrival in the lovely Clarens, we were greeted with hospitality that you will only find in the Eastern Free State! The house had everything we needed, and the view of Mount Horeb from the front porch was one for the books. Klein Vrystaat is at the starting point of several hiking trails in the nature reserve, the central town area is within walking distance and the area is very safe. The Festival of Flavors was a big attraction and the restaurants are top notch! I will definitely stay at Klein Vrystaat again!
