Description
Onrus - Under the Milkwood Camping is a tented campsite situated on the Onrus lagoon and beach. 3 Tents. Max 2 persons / Tent. The campsite is accessed by boat. Guests are met in Disa Street at my cottage or at the Milk Restaurant on the Onrus beach and transported to the campsite by boat. It is a short 5 min journey from the restaurant to the campsite.
The campsite can accommodate 6 guests in 3 separate tents on wooden decks.
Please note the price is per Tent. The tents include bedding . Each tent has access to a chemical toilet, cold-water shower and wash basin. There is a Hot (shared) shower in the Camp. There is a flush toilet 20 m from the tents, as well as a washing-up area with hot water.
Two tents have double beds, and the one tent has 2 single beds pushed together.
The campsite area has a braai pit with an undercover dining area with table and chairs, on a wooden deck.
Cooking utensils, braai grids, pots and pans, and crockery are provided.
Lighting is provided by paraffin lamps. Bring torches and lamps if required. Charging point for cell phones and computers only. Internet not available.
A small rowing boat, paddle skis, body boards and surfboards are available, which guests can use. All are available for use throughout the stay.
The Milk Restaurant is 5 minutes by boat and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner if required.
The area is a sanctuary for bird watching, and there are animals including, otters, wild Civet Cat, Mongoose , and many other small animals in the area.
