Description
Toekoms Farm Self-catering Accommodation is located on a working sheep farm that is a mere 32 km from the town of Calvinia, almost halfway between Calvinia and Nieuwoudtville on the R27, about 1 km off of the tar road. Toekoms Farm Self-catering Accommodation is also a good overnight stay for guests en route to Augrabies or Kgalagadi.
This farmhouse can accommodate 10 guests in total and it comprises 5 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. The rooms furnished with either a queen-size, a bunk and some with double beds. Two of the rooms have their own bathroom and the rest share a bathroom with other rooms.
The lounge area comes with a TV and selected DStv channels, while a well-equipped kitchen with the basic cutlery, pots, pans, a 2-plate stove, fridge and a small freezer is available. Those who want to braai can use the indoor or outdoor braai. Grids are provided, but guests need to order wood beforehand at an additional cost.
This working farm offers 3000-hectares of open roads for hikers and bikers to explore. There is a farm dam with a wooden deck located approximately 100 m from the house that guests will love, especially in the summer time. This area is famous for its spectacular display of flowers in early spring after good winter rain.
Toekoms Farm Self-catering Accommodation is off the grid and only uses solar power. Wi-Fi is provided but cellphone reception is unavailable on the farm. Borehole water and rainwater is used and is safe for guests to use.
