"Nog nooit so baie 'potholes' in my lewe gesien nie.
"I really love Grahamstown, but I think it has become somewhat rundown and badly run, which is sad."
"Since our self-catering accommodation was not self-catering, we went out to Frasers in town. What a fabulous restaurant. Grahamstown roads are horrendous. Massive potholes on all the roads. The town is dirty with lots of litter everywhere."
"I find, as a general rule, accommodation is Grahamstown is very pricey in comparison to accommodation rates for holiday destinations along the coast for instance."
"We loved our meal at the Rat and Parrot. Their pizzas are delicious."
"Beautiful old museum like buildings and attractions. A real pity the town is not maintained properly, most of the town quite dirty, roads full of potholes. However, the hospitality extends to all the local restaurants, shops, etc."
"One of my favourite towns in the Eastern Cape - rich in culture and full of friendly people - a wonderful, diverse place to visit. "
"Grahamstown is a very interesting place. I love the old buildings, churches and some of the houses found there. The roads have unfortunately not been maintained and there are so many potholes. You have to be so careful driving around. Drinking water must be bought and the residents are worried about the sewage problems in the future. I hope things will improve soon."
"There are no decent restaurants in Grahamstown - they are mostly sub-standard and charge exorbitant prices for what they serve. The restaurant service is also poor and very slow. One further tends to get harassed by car guards in town. "
"I enjoyed Grahamstown but there are lot of potholes. They really need to do something about them, I didn’t feel at any point that my car wasn’t going to be damaged."
