New Year’s Eve Dinner at Clos Malverne

Clos Malverne wine estate in Stellenbosch invites you to be the first to taste their maiden Rose Methode Cap Classique. The restaurant’s head chef, Nadia Louw Smith has put together an exquisite 8-course menu that will be perfectly complemented with eight of the estates most prestigious vintage wines.

New Year’s Eve Dinner at Mezepoli in Camps Bay

Celebrate along the scenic Camps Bay beachfront. Expect a Hellenic inspired set menu, seafood delights like the Yama sushi platter, seared salmon and prawns, traditional meze dishes, grilled fillet, and chicken souvlakia. Make sure you save room for the delicious desert platter. A DJ will set the pace on the dance floor as you count down to 2013. Please note there is no kiddies menu available for the evening.

New Year’s Eve on Table Mountain

What better way to start the new year than by taking a trip up Table Mountain to see the last sunset of 2012? A half price special is offered for adults and children from 6pm. The last car goes up at 11pm, and the last car comes down at 1am, weather permitting. Order a picnic basket online, or bring your own with a bottle of bubbly for a magical evening above Cape Town.

Rock the River

Rock the River is a 5-day music festival that brings in the new year with a 3-staged outdoor line up. The festival is hosted at the Savannah Farm in the heart of the Boland region and features over 200 local artists. Exciting activities include sumo wrestling, paintball, shredder competitions, and water features for summer swims. Partygoers are invited to set up camp and prepare for a wonderful weekend ahead.

Ricks Café Americain

Ricks Café Americain is offering a memorable evening consisting of a delicious a la carte menu and entertainment by the Alan Cameron Duo. A DJ will guide your itchy feet to the dance floor after midnight.  The cover charge will include an appetizer platter of spicy tuna tartar, prawn cheviche, chilli crab parcels, moroccan chicken skewers, and lamb koefte, as well as a welcome shot of chilled Vodka, and a glass of Pongracz at midnight.

2nd Nederburg New Year’s Eve Spectacular

The Cape Philharmonic Orchestra presents the Nederburg New Year’s Eve Spectacular, featuring conductor Richard Crock, the jazz cross over singer Melanie Scholtz, classical trained tenor Derrick Ellis, classical cross over Selim Kagee, and Heavenly Quartez from Khayelitsha. The show starts at 21:30, but gates open at 19:30 so guests are advised to arrive early to select their spot on the lawns. A selection of Nederburg’s award-winning wines, refreshments, and home-baked sourdough flatbread will be available. Guests are welcome to bring their own soft drinks, glasses, blankets, and chairs, but note that no alcohol will be allowed on the premises.

This psychedelic festival is one of the biggest New Year’s events in Cape Town. Camp under the stars, stomp in the mud, and relax in the chill zone. The event will be featuring over 80 of the top international and local acts on two dance floors, including psytrance, progressive, drum n bass, techno, chill, dubstep, and breaks.

New Year’s Eve Concert at Kirstenbosch

Toast the beginning of 2013 while listening to the sounds of world-renowned jazz legend, Hugh Masekela and local band, Hot Water. Both artists will perform live under the stars in the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Audience members are invited to bring along blankets, picnic baskets, and champagne to celebrate in style.

Tobago’s New Year’s Eve Buffet at The Radisson Blu Hotel

New Year’s Eve Masked Ball at Five Flies Restaurant and Bar
