The Bojanala region consists largely of bushveld, nature reserves, game reserves, and game parks which serve as major draw cards for both international and local visitors. Nature lovers will be spoilt for choice with the Kgaswane Mountain Reserve, Madikwe Game Reserve, and the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, which lies in an ancient volcanic crater, and is home to the Big Five – the lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant.
