Aspen Guest House"Clarens is still special. As frequent visitors, now much more commercialised than the Clarens we first knew, but with a pleasing variety of restaurant options. Friends previously resident have semigrated to Montagui. Petty crime/vehicle theft is becoming an issue. Too many car guards/washers hanging around the Square for their own good or visitors peace of mind."

Woodlands Retreat"Lovely town to visit with many little shops to visit with interesting knickknacks to look at and purchase. There is a wide variety of restaurants to cater for all taste. The Jacket Shop is definitely worth a visit or two. The walks there are really beautiful, well marked and well maintained. Thank you to everyone who made our visit such a relaxing time."

Bergwoning Accommodation"Moenie op 'n Paasnaweek gaan nie. Die dorp het nie plek gehad vir 'n muis nie en dit was baie baie besig. Clarens is baie mooi en die hele Golden Gate-area is beslis iets wat mens moet gaan sien. Ons was al buite seisoen in Clarens en dit was baie aangenaam en ideaal vir mense wat hou van stap in die natuur en ook in die dorpie self."

Kahara Maluti Lodge"'n Fantastierse plek met genoeg afleiding/vermaak/opsies vir 'n gesin met klein kinders, 'n familie met oupa's en ouma's, avonturiers wat wil bergklim, bergfiets ry of net lekker in die natuur of deur die pragtige dorpie wil wandel, verliefdes wat stil plekkies wil besoek; of selfs enkellopendes wat kan wegraak in die winkeltjies, kunsgalerye en heerlike koffie drink en eetplekke. Natuurlik ook vir die jongklomp wat wil kuier, drink en ontspan!"

Odendaal’s Ridge"A great getaway, very disappointed with no market in the centre square but understand due to Covid. Food in every restaurant was absolutely delish. Clementines was a winner. I felt that the products that we could buy 2 years ago is no longer sold. Very clean little town."

Emden Bass"Oulike drop met paar oulike winkels. Goed geleë om ook Clarens, Ficksburg, Golden Gate ens te besoek. Baie lekker wyn geproe by Mile High Vineyards, en lekker perdgery by Ventersberg Stables. Slaggate is maar oral oor aan die orde van die dag."

Blacksmith Cottage"Golden Gate Park is 'n paar kilometer ver en het ook baie lekker staproetes. Ons het een dag daar gaan stap. Het ook tyd spandeer saam met Gideon Groenewald van Clarens Dinosaurs. Hy is 'n ervare geoloog en paleontoloog en het ons dino-spore gaan wys op 'n klipbank langs die rivier. Hy is 'n natuurkenner en ervare waterwyser en het 'n baie interessante praatjie gelewer. Heerlik! Ons sal weer 'n draai kom maak as ons kans kry."
