Kenton-on-Sea, commonly known as Kenton, is a picturesque coastal town on the Sunshine Coast in the Eastern Cape. Nestled between the Bushmans and the Kariega Rivers, Kenton-on-sea is situated halfway between East London and Port Elizabeth, with a number of nature reserves, game parks, and water sport activities. Kenton-on-sea is a popular holiday resort with endless pristine beaches, rolling green hills, coastal nature reserves, and a turquoise ocean great for water sports. Hedged in on three sides by river and sea, Kenton-on-sea offers the nature lover and eco tourist a holiday destination that is hard to beat. Both tidal rivers are navigable (Kariega for 16km and Bushmans for 32km) and feature abundant bird and fish life. Nature reserves worth a visit include Blaauwkrantz Nature Reserve in Grahamstown, Woody Cape Nature Reserve (34.5km), and Thomas Baines Nature Reserve (38.5km).

There are many exciting attractions available in and around Kenton-on-sea. While you’re here, be sure to dine at the unique Sandbar Floating Restaurant which serves pub fare, light meals, seafood, and grills. Alternatively, drive through to the neighbouring town of Grahamstown, famous for its National Arts Festival, or Bathurst, a small farming village known for its giant pineapple monument.
