"I was born in Dundee, and although it has been decades since leaving there, it was nice to find my old schools and hostel still looking good and the pavements well kept. We had good service in the shops and restaurants and I think it is an ideal location for history lovers as well as those who love the country-side which is beautiful."

"The beach is one of the best in KZN. One can walk onto the beach from San Lameer and walk along lovely level and sandy beach from Marina Beach to Trafalgar Beach. There is safe bathing either in the tidal pool or sea with life guards on duty. We enjoyed watching the fishermen, surfers and cyclists on the beach. Very good pizza take-away/restaurant called O'Nellys in Southbroom."

"Uvongo beach is a small but nice beach. Unfortunately during our stay there had been a sewage pipe that had contaminated the water so no swimming. Lucky for us there are other beaches close by that we could visit."
