"Such a quaint, friendly and interesting place. What a lot to see and do. Will definitely be returning."
"Beautiful, small place. Church stands out. Easy access to and from N1. Municipality busy early in the morning, cleaning and fixing."
"Quaint, clean little town with two places to eat. Friendly people. Loved this place."
"Interessante, rustige dorpie. Paaie in dorp kort beslis aandag.
Meeste noodsaaklikheide is egter bekombaar."
"The dorpie is quiet and seems safe, however, there aren't any activities or amenities to keep visitors busy and entertained. The dorpie is old and some areas seemed a little poorish."
"I loved Nieu-Bethesda but hadn't had the chance to visit since 2005. So, it was wonderful to return and a relief to see that the village had not changed too much. The breweries still had the charm and good hospitality and great ales! The only disappointment was the atmosphere at the Owl House which has been converted rather disingenuously in my humble opinion. Fortunately, with the add-ons such as the seemingly displaced refined tourist shop, most of the original curated spaces have remained untouched. Furthermore, we experienced the staff at the Owl House as quite disengaging, this we felt was not conducive to a good Owl House visit."
"Hanover is a very small town but it has something of everything. This town works well for us to stay over when travelling from Gauteng to Cape Town and vice versa."
"There are shops, a museum and library, and the best landscape if you like driving."
