Description
Vleesbaai is a beautiful coastal village on the Cape South coast, in the Eden district. The property for rent is a house with a separate flat that can be booked as a whole by a group of up to 10 guests.
The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed. The second bedroom is furnished with a double bed and the third bedroom with a double-, a single- and a bunk bed. One bathroom is fitted with a corner bath the other with a shower. Bedding and towels are provided. It has a well-equipped kitchen with a stove, fridge-freezer combination, large stove, microwave, kettle, and coffee machine. There are 2 living rooms, one with a 6-seater leather lounge suite, the other with a built-in braai, a Dover wood-fired stove for winter evenings, and a large solid cane 6-seater table. The front doors are stacking doors that fold up when opened, to give a wonderful full sea view. The house has a deck with an outside braai, pizza oven, and 8 seater table, in the shade of a roof, with a beautiful view of the beach and bay where one can enjoy beautiful sunny days or wonderful starlit evening cocktails. The house has a TV with DStv channels.
The apartment has a bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin. Bedding and towels are provided. The living area has a single bed, ideal for a small child, which is open-plan to the kitchen which is equipped with a 4-plate gas hob with oven, fridge-freezer combination, microwave, kettle, and coffee machine as well as cutlery and crockery for 4 people. Please note that there is no TV in the apartment.
Vleesbaai is 33 km from Mossel Bay and a 4-hour drive from Cape Town or Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). The nearest airport is at George, which is 70 km away, while Knysna is 133 km and Oudtshoorn is 114 km away.
There are wonderful hikes to enjoy all around Vlees Bay. One of our country's top 4x4 routes, The Dune 4x4 route is at Vleesbaai. Come swim in the sea, hike, enjoy the incredibly bright stars at night, go fishing or just enjoy the serene surroundings.
