Absolute Leisure Cottages offer wholesome, characterful accommodation set in quaint Machadodorp village, Mpumalanga, ideal for business and recreational visitors. Local attractions include fly fishing, hiking, horse rides, birding, mountain biking, rock climbing, Comrades training, bike tours, culture, scenic drives, history. We are COVID-19 Compliant and certified by the Tourism Business Council of South Africa
All cottages and units are equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom, lounge and dining area. All bedding, towels and soaps are supplied as well as complimentary tea, coffee, milk and sugar. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board is also available on request. The kitchen has a full stove, a fridge with freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee plunger, pots, cooking equipment, plates and cutlery, dish towels, washing up soaps, dish towels.
Facilities include a braai, large beautiful, child-friendly gardens, garden furniture, gym equipment, games, sports equipment, books, safe, off road parking with some undercover parking.
Absolute Leisure Cottages consists of two neighbouring properties in the village of Machadodorp. Machado House is a grand Victorian home named after Paul Kruger's railway surveyor, General Joachim Machado. The house has been divided into 3 separate, self-contained units sleeping up to 10 people in double bedrooms. Units take their names from the history of Machadodorp, BaKoni, Geluk and EnTokozweni. Machado House is elegantly furnished in the old Victorian style of the late 1800s, and each bathroom has both a legged bath and a shower for the convenience and comfort of our guests. The whole of Machado House can be booked for a group get together, and the locked doors separating units can be opened to make a 10-bed party venue.
Just One More Cast Cottages is a complex of 4 cottages accommodating up to 16 people. This complex offers 2 couple cottages, 1 family cottage and 1 4-bedroomed cottage with 8 beds. Interiors are country style and each cottages’ name is derived from a local fishing fly like Duckworth's Dargle Delight, Wickhams Fancy, Blue Dunn and Cats Whisker.
