A gem in Grahamstown. My recent stay at Amblewood Cottages in Grahamstown was delightful. The property itself was beautifully maintained and impeccably clean. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming. They even went out of their way to recommend a remedy for my cold sores, which was a thoughtful gesture. The housekeepers were equally friendly and attentive, especially to my son. They made him feel right at home with their warm and engaging conversations. The location was perfect for exploring the area. It was within walking distance of Peppergrove Mall, making it convenient for shopping and dining. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Amblewood Cottages to anyone visiting Grahamstown.

Excellent home away from home with complete privacy and non-interfering host. Absolutely perfect. Came all the way from Cape Town with a group of friends from RSA and Switzerland. We were all very impressed by the privacy and the excellent facilities.

I enjoyed my 3 nights stay. I think a simple/study table is an absolute necessity. It was great. I'm not sure though why it's called Amblewood B&B as I was told they don't serve breakfast. Perhaps self-catering is an accurate description, as they have really lovely self-catering facilities.

Hi Chaile, Hope you are well. We did serve breakfasts in the past - hence the name. However, due to work commitments in our other business, I could not continue serving cooked breakfasts. Currently, we supply continental breakfasts if you inform us in advance. Despite our history, the listing on LekkeSlaap is under self-catering. Unfortunately, we cannot change the name of our establishment or email address. Also, we are currently installing a desk and are merely waiting for the carpenter. He has been quite busy. Weens werksverpligtinge in ons ander besigheid kon ek egter nie voortgaan om gekookte ontbyt te bedien nie. Tans verskaf ons kontinentale ontbyte as jy ons vooraf in kennis stel. Ten spyte van ons geskiedenis, is die notering op LekkeSlaap onder selfsorg. Ongelukkig kan ons nie die naam van ons onderneming of e-posadres verander nie.
