Perfect place after a hectic day of watching school sport. Comfy, clean, quiet.

AppleBee offered everything I needed for my recent trip to the Eastern Cape - convenient location, safe parking, comfortable bed, breakfast cereals/coffee/tea on tap with self-catering facility and cosy lounge area. I would highly recommend it.

The guest following you alerted us to the fact that there was no hot water, and we discovered that the geyser had burst. It was replaced the same day and is all sorted now. Apologies once again. Clean, comfortable stay.

I stayed in the small room. It is advertised as self-catering, but it doesn't really have a proper kitchen where you can actually cook a meal from scratch. However, there is enough equipment to make tea, toast bread, make a sandwich, or warm up a meal in the microwave. The parking is a bit tight if you drive a big 4x4, but not unmanageable.

Friendly and accommodating hosts!

Small, but comfortable and I had all I needed. My son had a stay-over, and gladly the host permitted this with an extra charge of R200-00. The towels are clean but could do with new ones.

With regards to the towels, we are in the process of acquiring new. We are doing some research.
We struggle so with the appalling quality of the water in Grahamstown, having to continually soak the towels in vinegar, etc. to get rid of the mud stains and it therefore shortens the life of the towels considerably. We are looking into getting towels in a stone colour to try avoid the excessive soaking the white towels need.
