Description
Ardmore provides cosy farm-style accommodation, with a dinner and breakfast service. We have a total of 17 units, situated either in one of the original renovated thatch rondavels or in one of our mountain view thatch cottages.
Each unit can accommodate up to 2 or 6 guests at a time. The units that can accommodate 2 guests are furnished with king-size beds and the units that can accommodate 6 guests comprises 2 bedrooms. Each room is furnished with a king-size bed and single beds. These units' en-suite bathrooms are fitted with either a bath and a shower, or both.
These units are equipped with a fridge, and microwave as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, a fireplace, a dining- and a lounge area.
On the farm, there are 2 swimming pools, a farm dam which is good for bass fishing and walks and trails among the timber plantations. There is a museum gallery exhibiting the internationally renowned Ardmore Ceramic art collection belonging to Ardmore Farm.
In the Champagne Valley, there are great hiking trails. There are 2 golf courses within a few minutes of Ardmore, as well as tennis, river rafting, canopy tours, quad biking, bird watching, trout and bass fishing and horse riding. Local places of interest include Spioenkop battlefield, Bushman paintings, Spioenkop Game Reserve where you can drive among rhinos and giraffes, the Drakensberg Boy’s Choir School, a Falconry display centre, Tugela Falls, helicopter flips and more.
