Description
The Loerie is in the heart of Knysna's CBD and was built in 1883 and was one of the first buildings of purpose to be built in a newly developing town. Knysna has since grown and developed, and this unique guesthouse has too.
This guest house offers 7 room types and 9 rooms. There are 3 twin bedrooms, 4 king-size bedrooms, and 2 queen-size bedrooms. All the rooms are en-suite except the economy rooms, which have access to a shared bathroom and a separate shower. We offer a common lounge area with TV and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. There is a shared kitchen with heat- and eating- facilities. There are 2 large verandas that provide extra seating and outdoor sofas. All 9 rooms can also be booked as a unit.
Knysna's history is in the wood industry, and we share our yard with an emporium of second-hand and restored furniture; it's a treasure trove on our doorstep. This also adds an activity to the weekdays when the store is open. We are within walking distance of a cool little bar called the Bloo Bistro and a few restaurants.
