Get to Witsand as soon as possible. Its an experience you won't forget! It was a pleasure staying at Barry's. I immediately felt at home. So thoughtfully put together - everything you need is at hand. Just relax and enjoy Witsand.

A good stay. Everything was good. Well equipped and neat. A plus was the electric blankets on the bed on a very cold weekend. However, I know the description states that a solar powered geyser is used, but a very clear forewarning that you might not have a hot shower available when the weather is mostly overcast and rainy would be appreciated. I hope that this would be seen as the constructive advice that it is intended to be.

Hi Sonja Many thanks for taking the time to review your stay in Witsand. It was a particularly cold weekend and we are very sorry that we forgot to put the electric booster geyser on. Rustig, klein, gemaaklik. Dit was wonderlik vir die twee aande, klein en gemaaklik. Sal waardeer dat die TV-kanale na DStv-kanale opgegradeer word. Die uitsig is pragtig.

Duurste nag wat ek nog vir twee enkelbedjies en 'n bitter klein plekkie betaal het. Alhoewel die verblyf baie netjies en skoon was, is dit geen gastehuis nie. Hierdie is suiwer 'n "Backpackers"-verblyf en was beslis nie wat ek in gedagte gehad het toe ek bespreek het nie. Ek het ook bespreek by 'n ander plek op Stuisbaai en glo my laasgenoemde was wonderlik.

Good day Johan Many thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us - we are delighted that you appreciated the cleanliness, customer service, and security. You booked in during our "high season" - when we have many international kitesurfers/tourists to stay - who consider R700 per night for two guests - with WiFi, communal kitchen, tea/coffee tray, safe parking for cars/boats, and a braai area to be value for money. With the increased costs of running a guest house, it's difficult to provide a private en suite room for less than that. Kind regards Owen and Helen

Pateties vir die geld wat jy betaal. Nee ons het glad nie lekker gebly nie. Dit wat op die webtuiste aangebied word is nie wat ons gekry het nie, ons moes huisie deel met ander vreemde mense, geen veilige parkering nie.

Many thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us. The contents came as no surprise to us at all as you were disgruntled on arrival. This is why we very quickly offered to move you to a self-catering cottage with a river view, rather than stay at the private en-suite room you had booked where you had to share a kitchen with two other guests. We offered the cottage at no extra cost to you only because our business objective is to have returning guests (of which we do have many). You chose not to accept our offer to move you and you chose to stay in the en-suite room so we do feel this review is unfair. The website shows exactly how each unit is set up. As for safe parking. Anyone who has ever visited Witsand will know that the whole of Witsand is one safe place to park and enjoy the beach/fishing/kitesurfing destination. You also complain about the rate charged. You booked during the Easter holidays and the rate is always higher than normal during the Easter and Christmas holidays.

Rustige omgewing met goeie omstandighede. Die kamer was so mooi en natuurlik die kombuisarea was lekker vir kuier en braai saam ander gaste. Ek sal beslis dieselfde kamer weer bespreek.
