Description
Berg Residence is situated on the mountainside of the coastal town, Fish Hoek, offering views of the valley, surrounding mountains, and the ocean in the distance.
The house comprises 2 tastefully designed bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, with double doors leading onto the balcony with views of the mountain and surrounding area. The second bedroom is situated downstairs and has two single beds. The room is quiet and has access to an adjoining bathroom fitted with a shower-over-bath, basin, and toilet with a bidet. The other bathroom is fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. All linen and towels are provided.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and a lovely coffee machine. In addition, there’s a washing machine for guests’ convenience. It flows into the dining area that has a 6-seater dining table with chairs where guests can enjoy their meals. It further opens up to the bright and airy lounge which has comfortable couches, with a TV that provides access to a full selection of DStv channels making it the perfect spot in which to unwind.
The dining area and kitchen lead onto a covered deck where guests can enjoy early morning breakfasts or late afternoon cocktails while watching the sun set. The entertainment and braai areas are on the lower deck. Here guests can relax in front of a fire, enjoy a braai, laze in the sunshine or simply relax on the swing bench with a significant other.
The picturesque town of Fish Hoek has a lovely swimming beach which is popular on sunny days. There is a suburban railway link between Cape Town to the north and Simon's Town to the south. This coastal suburb is a popular residence for business travellers and holidaymakers alike. The traditional industries of trek fishing and angling co-exist with the leisure activities of surfing, kayaking, sailing, and sunbathing. A variety of restaurants can be found in Fish Hoek and the surrounding areas of Kalk Bay, Muizenberg, Simons Town, and Noordhoek.
Fish Hoek is just a 40-minute drive to The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, 20 minutes drive from a colony of penguins at Boulders Beach, and approximately 12 minutes away from Simon's Town. There are boat trips to the seals and Shark-Cage Diving.
