Peace and quiet and wide open spaces. Very scenic location with a cosy cottage, plenty of game to see and good bird sightings too.

I'm already gathering my family for a next visit! We were welcomed by William who helped us with luggage, and explained everything in Hill Cottage. There was wood for a delicious, efficient fireplace as well as for outdoor braai. Everything in the cottage has been chosen with taste and there is a wonderful library.

Ek is reeds besig om my familie bymekaar te maak vir 'n volgende besoek! Ons was verwelkom deur William wat ons met bagasie gehelp het, en alles in Hill Cottage verduidelik het. Daar was hout vir 'n heerlike, doeltreffende kaggeltjie asook vir buite braai. Alles in die huisie is met smaak gekies en daar is 'n wonderlike boekery.

If you like the peace and tranquillity of a Karoo nature reserve, then Bergplaas is the place to stay. The hospitality of the Masperos, the lovely cottage we stayed in and the tranquillity of the reserve with its diversity of fauna and Karoo flora were a unbelievable experience. If one really wants to experience the beauty of the Karoo, this is the place to stay.
