Gorgeous little cottage on lovely sheep farm. A gem of a little cottage (very comfortable and well equipped) in a gorgeous location for a very reasonable price. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic experience, will return. We had a wonderful stay! Small touches were nice, communication was good, and our dog had a wonderful time with plenty of space to run around. It felt like we were transported to another country. Thanks again!

Restful, peaceful, beautiful - Bertus se Huisie is in a great location! Bertus se Huisie was a wonderful surprise. It is quite basic, with solar power and the limitations that come with that. We had a fire going for most of the time, which was great. Coffee lovers are advised to take a coffee plunger! Fantastic cottage on a sheep farm surrounded by nature and dog friendly. What an incredibly fun visit it was! The fireplace in the kitchen is fantastic! Rooms cozy and bathroom clean! I definitely recommend this place. Will come again for sure!

Perfect getaway from the city for a safe, peaceful rest in the country. It was my second time at Bertus se Huisie. I stayed there for a few days with my adult son and our Labradoodle in January 2022, and this time I stayed there with my adult daughter and our Labradoodle. Safe, off the grid, solar powered, fantastic braai area, kitchen with all the essentials, gas hob, big cold fridge, comfortable beds, lovely big shower with good water pressure. Gas geyser, so always enough hot water. Lots of fresh air, beautiful landscape. Great to see the sheep in the distant fields with farmer Bertus putting his magnificent border collie through its paces to herd them in the early evening while we were making the fire for a braai on the big covered patio space.

Pretty. Restful. Safe. Quiet. Amazing for people with animals. All our 2nd time there, just like last time it was great. We really enjoyed it. Just a note - if you go in the summer, take fly patches, fly ribbons etc with you, there are an awful lot of flies but that's to be expected in the summer and it's a farm world. Everything else was amazing. Our 3 dog children really enjoyed it and it's very safe for them. They will definitely see us for a 3rd visit.
