Description
Bird Rock Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a 1-bedroom cottage situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood, just 700 m from Grotto Beach in Hermanus. The unusual layout of the cottage makes for laid-back open-plan living and a relaxed indoor-outdoor flow.
The cottage features a sheltered garden, and is ideal for a couple or a couple with one or two children. The entire top floor comprises the main bedroom with a double bed and a comfortable lounge area. A large counter-style top provides a work-station or chat area for dining/sundowners overlooking the bay. Downstairs, a sleeping alcove in the open-plan living area contains a single bed. There is also a sleeper couch, suitable for a child or smaller adult, in this open-plan living area.
The ground floor comprises an open-plan kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a fridge, a 2-plate induction stove, a microwave, a kettle and toaster, coffee plungers, cutlery and crockery, and glassware. Bath towels and linen are provided. (Please bring your own beach towels.) Firewood for your first braai will be supplied. There is a portable braai on the patio.
You will have access to secure parking in a single lock-up garage, with direct access to the cottage. The cottage is conveniently located 700 metres from Grotto, and 1 km from Voëlklip Beach and the local neighbourhood supermarket. The location offers access to restaurants, and is 6.7 km from the Klein River Lagoon, popular for a variety of water sports.
