Bluegum Country Lodge is a classic country getaway. It is an attractive red face-brick development situated in Bethal. Located in the heart of the Cosmos Country in Mpumalanga, Bluegum will easily become your preferred overnight rest stop for business in and around Bethal or on your way to Swaziland, St. Lucia and the North Coast.
Bluegum Country Lodge is nestled among bluegum trees typical of the Highveld landscape. Away from the hustle and bustle, we encourage our guests to relax close to nature and to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. The lodge boasts 5 en suite rooms and conference facilities. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to contemplate life or to brainstorm with colleagues.
We offer single rooms, double rooms, and a honeymoon suite. The honeymoon suite is a charming open-plan space with a large corner jacuzzi bath, softened by a lushly draped curtain. Special rooms are available which cater for disabled visitors. Visitors staying on the first floor can enjoy the scenery from the smoking patio, or have a morning coffee in the courtyard under white stinkwood trees.
All the rooms are equipped with DStv, coffee and tea facilities, a private entrance and a bar fridge. Some of the rooms have air-conditioning. Guests have their own access control and a fax facility is available at reception. There is also a daily laundry service, large and secure parking and free Wi-Fi is available, please enquire the password on check in.
The Lodge boasts 40 en-suite rooms that can accommodate 80 people. Single rooms, Double, Twin rooms are available. Decorated in African prints with a mixture of rich earthy colours, a slate decoration in the spacious bathrooms and a gritty yellow ochre wall finish, the modern room design creates a feeling of space. Special rooms are available which cater for disabled visitors. Also, conference facilities that can accommodate 5-250 delegates or serve as functions venue, catering up to 250 people.
Breakfast is served from 6:00 to 8:00 am daily in the dining room. Dinners are available on request and is served in the rooms or dining room. Every meal is prepared with great care using only the freshest ingredients.
