Bucklebury Cottage @ Rivendell Trout Estate is a charming self-catering cottage nestled amongst other units, located on the banks of the fast-flowing Spekboom River within the Rivendell Trout Estate. This estate is part of the Mount Anderson Water Catchment Reserve, a vast conservancy that spans thousands of hectares. The reserve is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including kudu, bushbuck, duiker, bush pigs, and baboons, which roam freely throughout the area. Visitors can often observe these animals grazing peacefully while they enjoy fly fishing for trout.
This cottage can accommodate 4 guests and comprises 2 en-suite bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, while the second bedroom has 2 single beds. The en-suite bathrooms are fitted with a bath, shower, basin, and toilet. Linen and towels are provided.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. It extends to a lovely dining space and further opens to the lounge furnished with comfy couches and a cosy fireplace.
The unit opens up to a patio with outdoor furniture, perfect for alfresco dining. The comfy deck comes with wood and gas braai facilities and overlooks the trout pools in the river.
This property is situated en route to the Kruger National Park and is centrally located for day visits to destinations such as Dullstroom, Bourke's Luck Potholes, Sudwala Caves, and Pilgrim's Rest.
