Buffalo Hotel is the oldest hotel in Mpumalanga's wild frontier tourist region and was originally established in 1923. It is ideally situated for visitors who are searching for a combination of charm, peace and relaxation and a convenient position from which to explore the Lowveld area as well as neighbouring countries.

The world-famous original Buffalo Bar with its record Buffalo trophy, from which the hotel's name is derived, is a famous landmark in the Lowveld with the tradition to kiss the world famous Buffalo, if you are brave enough you will get a certificate and an "I kissed the Buffalo cap". It also features a sports bar with large flat-screen TV's and an adjoining veranda, lounge with pool table, dart board and other entertainment activities. A dedicated bar menu is available to satisfy all appetite requirements of thirsty visitors at any time of the day.
We are well positioned to provide access to guided day and night Kruger Park adventures, fishing expeditions and trips to Mozambique, Swaziland and Panorama. All activities require prior arrangements and bookings. Hectorspruit is situated between Malelane and Komatipoort and the perfect central location between Mozambique; 33 km, Mbombela (Nelspruit); 78 km and the Jeppe's Reef border gate; 54 km.
