Elephants swam over the river to the Lodge. Buhala is on the banks of the Crocodile River and the engagement with wildlife of the Kruger as a result of this is just amazing. The lodge is neat, modern and our room was massive and very private. Prices for food and drink are South African and not inflated - very reasonable. One or 2 things that can perhaps be addressed: the table lighting at dinner was weak - we could hardly see what we were eating; we skipped on dessert as it was taking too long and it was getting cold outside; breakfast was excellent, though they forgot to bring my husband’s white bread. We also missed a bar fridge in the room. Our washed car in the morning was a pleasant surprise, thank you. Overall - a great treat and if I could ever afford it again I will go back.
