Very pleasant. We had a great stay and it was a different experience, especially for the grandchildren, and it brought back the nostalgia of the old days - really a good idea for something different.

Butlersrail is clean, tidy and tasteful and well equipped. We had a great time. Lovely destination as well as lovely people, quiet and peaceful environment. We were pleasantly surprised by the gem of a place! Everything is available that is needed for a good night's rest. The air conditioner was a bonus during the Northern Cape summers. Great customer service and value for money! I would recommend it to anyone.

What a unique experience. What a pleasant surprise and unique experience the Butlers Rail antique train car was. The decor still compliments the authentic style of the train car. The good quality linen, glasses and coffee mugs were a big plus. It was one of our most unique stay experiences. The owners have a passion for what they do. Thanks for all the treats, biscuits and wood. We look forward to the next visit to Butlers Rail and can recommend this accommodation experience with full confidence.

An incredible experience. It was an incredible experience, to sleep on a train with a very beautiful view of nature. Jackals' hear and of course farm animals. The hostess receives you kindly and proudly shows the beautiful train that has been so beautifully preserved in its original form.

Fantastic stay, memories of childhood train rides. Unique accommodation close to the N12. Train carriage is luxuriously furnished with good quality bedding, towels, air conditioning and everything you could need. Wonderful farm experience, we enjoyed the tranquility.
