Description
Candy's Lodge is located on the banks of the Vaal River within the small village of Vaaloewer. The lodge offers a tranquil getaway halfway between the towns of Vanderbijlpark and Parys.
Accommodation at Candy's Lodge is provided in 4 different types to suit all guests needs. The lodge has 2-, 4- and 6-sleeper units, and can offer a 10-sleeper unit with an interleading door. The units present either basic self-catering facilities or full self-catering facilities. No TV’s are available in the units. Unfortunately Candy’s Lodge is not wheelchair friendly.
The summer pub is built over the water, which has amazing views, where guests can enjoy the sunset, while sipping cocktails. The winter pub has a fireplace for the cool winter nights, 3 TVs and a pool table. There is also a restaurant on the premises with an a la carte menu and a well-loved chef.
On-site activities include fishing, kayaking and a boat cruise where a variety of birdlife can be viewed.
The lodge is only 25 km from Vanderbijlpark and the Emerald Casino to the east, and 25 km from the town of Parys.
