Description
Casa Cara Resort offers a wide range of accommodation, from upmarket self-catering units to tented units, nestled along the banks of the Vaal River, 8 km outside the town of Parys. Casa Cara Resort is a beautiful and romantic wedding and function venue. The venue offers an outside wooden deck built over a large dam and is thus surrounded by water.
The self-catering accommodation is located in the lodge and offers standard, deluxe and superior units. Each unit is equipped with a fridge, a microwave, a ceiling fan, a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom and a braai area. Some units feature their own outside entertainment area with a bush lapa and a kitchen.
The luxury tent can accommodate 2 guests and comprises a king-size bed, an en-suite open-plan bathroom with a bath and a shower, and a kitchen equipped with a stove, a microwave, a fridge, and cutlery and crockery. The tent is equipped with a fan and has a private deck on the banks of the Vaal River, as well as braai facilities.
The Bush Camp is a tented unit with sleeping space for 8 guests. Two bedrooms contain a queen-size bed and a single bed, while the third bedroom contains a queen-size bed. There is a lovely outside bathroom with a shower, basin and toilet. This unit has it's own kitchen, boma and braai facilities.
Pond Villa can accommodate a total of 8 guests. It has 4 bedrooms; 3 of the bedrooms are furnished with king-size beds, and 2 of them have en-suite bathrooms fitted with a shower-over-bath, washbasin, and toilet. The fourth bedroom is furnished with a bunk bed and has a separate bathroom fitted with a shower-over-bath, washbasin, and toilet. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, microwave, oven, and stove.
Casa Cara Resort is situated within the Vredfort Dome World Heritage Area and is therefore surrounded by beautiful scenery. The fields surrounding Casa Cara Resort boast many varieties of indigenous wildflowers and shrubs.
The resort offers an entertainment area with a play park, a swimming pool and a restaurant, located 700 m from the accommodation. The play park and the use of the pool is included in the accommodation price. To enter the animal park, there is an additional charge per person.
