1st trip to Cape Town. This was my first trip to Cape Town and my first trip abroad as a solo female traveler. The staff at Chartfield Guesthouse was exceptionally helpful from the initial booking, arranging airport transfers, and just being genuinely gracious hosts. The view from my room of the bay was spectacular. Waking up to the sunrise and the sound of waves was an extra bonus that I didn't expect. Their coffee and breakfasts were some of the best I had during my stay. As a first-time solo female traveler, I had my concerns about safety, but those were unfounded as I walked everywhere without any issues.

What a lovely place to stay, it is ideal with the beautiful coastline, shopping, walks, swimming and fabulous restaurants. The staff were exceptional, so friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. What a wonderful experience, thank you Florian and your wonderful staff. Great stay, beautiful view. What we liked: The room is very neat, the bed is big and very comfortable, and the view from the room is really fantastic. The bedding is of very good quality and we slept like kings. There is also a coffee machine in the room! The shower head sits nicely high; we are both tall and could take a nice shower. A small detail such as indicating which way the shower handle should be turned for hot water pleasantly surprised me. (Also, the shower is nice and big).
