Chillin Thyme offers self-catering accommodation, established in 2010 and run by the owner. A hidden gem, it is privately nestled on a mountain overlooking part of the Drakensberg Escarpment. Surrounded by blue gum plantations, it boasts great views, lovely gardens, and abundant birdlife. Located on the Panorama Route, it is close to Graskop, Pilgrims Rest, and the Hazyview Kruger National Park Pabeni gate, with many waterfalls to visit in Sabie.
Chillin Thyme comprises 3 free-standing wooden units and accommodates 5 - 6 guests.
The Foresters Cottage sleeps 3 guests and is furnished with a double- and a single bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower. The unit includes a full small kitchen, a dining and seating area, and satellite TV. There is also an outside braai area and ample parking.
Blue Gum sleeps 2 guests and has a double bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, and the unit includes a full small kitchenette and a seating area. There is plenty of parking available. The outside deck features seating and a braai. Blue Gum shares the Geelhout Lounge with Wattle, providing additional inside seating.
Wattle sleeps 1 guest and has a single bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower. The unit includes a small kitchenette with a fridge and tea- and coffee-making facilities, but no cooking can be done in this unit. Wattle shares the Geelhout Lounge with Blue Gum, which has a TV with Open View, inside seating, a spare single bed, and shares the bathroom with Wattle.
The accommodation is approximately 5 minutes from Sabie town, located on the Panorama Route. The town offers beautiful waterfalls and adventures such as horse riding trails, caving, abseiling, and great restaurants and pubs. It is centrally located, providing easy access to Kruger Park, Pilgrims Rest, God's Window, Bourkes Luck Potholes, and other interesting places.
