Situated on a Karoo farm 48 km from Williston, Dassiekloof Gasteplaas offers self-catering accommodation for 5 people in an antique stone house.
Dassiekloof Gasteplaas is reached by a gravel road, and does not have electricity or cellphone signal, but is powered by solar energy. There is a CellC and MTN signal 600 m from the house. The stone house comprises 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a kitchen, and a lounge.
The main bedroom contains a double bed, and the second bedroom is furnished with a three-quarter bed. The third bedroom contains 2 single beds, and the bedrooms share the use of a bathroom fitted with a bath.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a stove and oven, and guests can relax in the lounge.
Braai facilities are available, and on request, braai packs and firewood are available at an additional cost. Trained pets are welcome with prior arrangement, and guests are welcome to use the swimming pool at the main farmhouse in summer. It is about 3 km further.
Guests can enjoy a braai under the stars, explore the farm on foot or cycle. Dassiekloof Gasteplaas forms part of the Grafsteenroete, and hosts a half-finished tombstone, carved by hand by the craftsman Cornelius de Waal. The farm is also 52 km from the MeerKAT radio telescope.
