De Hoop Opstal Campsite Rondavels is situated in the beautiful De Hoop Nature Reserve, ideal for those looking for simple and affordable accommodation. The Opstal area is a central base from which to explore the reserve; The Fig Tree Restaurant can be found here, and is open all day. The on-site restaurant serves delicious meals prepared using locally sourced produce. Guests can either drive, hike or cycle to may of the interesting locations in the reserve.

The 5 campsite ronadavels are thatched cottages with 2 single beds in each. Guests have access to shared outdoor showers and toilets. The cottages offers a braai area, but no other kitchen facilities. Each rondavel is equipped with a bar fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities and a hand basin. There are 2 outside showers and 2 toilets shared between the 5 rondavels.

De Hoop Nature Reserve offers sea, sand dunes, the vlei, a floral sensation of rare fynbos plants, diverse antelope, and the Potberg mountains. Birders can observe wading birds on the shores of the vlei, while the Potberg mountains are home to a colony of endangered Cape vultures. Hikers and cyclists can enjoy close-up encounters with bontebok, Cape mountain zebra, eland, baboons, and ostrich. Guests can choose between various day walks through the rich fynbos plains or along the deserted coastline, mountain biking along the many gravel roads or scenic game drives. Lazing on the beach and snorkelling in the turquoise rock pools is another activity guests can enjoy. There is a tennis court, a swimming pool, and a boules courtyard.
