The guest house is located in the upmarket suburb of Spanish Farm, Somerset West on the border of Stellenbosch in the Western Cape wine area. It is ideally situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain with inspiring views of the town of Somerset West, False Bay, Hottentot Holland Mountains and the vineyards of Vergelegen and Lourensford.

While De Molen Guest House offers a wealth of modern comforts, it retains its old-world charm and character. Each of the 8 rooms and 3 cottages is individually decorated and has been designed to retain the original architectural style with teak framed windows, authentic beamed ceilings and a thatched roof. Delicious breakfasts are served on your own private panoramic balcony, the breakfast room or on the sunny veranda overlooking the beautiful garden and swimming pool.

De Molen Guest House has a beautiful, well maintained 1.5-hectare garden, and is just 10 minutes from the beach and 30 minutes from Cape Town, and is surrounded by golf courses and South Africa’s top restaurants. Dutch owners, Joris and Christy Christiaans, put great effort into making you feel at home, and De Molen Guest House is the perfect base to explore the countless attractions the Western Cape has to offer.
