Description
De Old Drift Guest Farm offers bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodation on a small working citrus farm, located a short distance from the renowned Addo Elephant National Park. The farm offers a peaceful retreat where guests will find a perfect mix of warm Eastern Cape hospitality, picturesque gardens, delicious home-made meals and uniquely decorated and comfortable rooms.
Accommodation at De Old Drift Guest Farm ranges from comfortable and spacious bed and breakfast suites to family units and well equipped self-catering cottages. All rooms have air-conditioners, flat-screen TVs with selected DStv channels, free Wi-Fi access in public areas, and private verandahs, where guests can enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains, gardens and citrus orchards.
The lapa is open during the day for lunch and or dinner in the evening, please ask for the menu upon checking in. Guests can enjoy a delicious wholesome breakfast served in the thatched lapa overlooking the swimming pool area, or delight in South African braai flavours combined with warm home-made bread and scrumptious salads; followed by De Old Drift after-dinner liqueur under the stars.
Guests have the option to hop on a guided tour to Addo Elephant Park or the neighbouring game reserves to view the gentle giants of Addo. There are also guided tours in the Addo Park on an open-top vehicle, on request. Addo is a wonderful destination for game viewing, hiking, bird watching and simply appreciating the natural surrounds of the bushveld and farm life in the area.
Alternatively, guests could just laze around at the swimming pool with a crisp glass of wine and a good book from the book-swop library.
