De Akker Cottages offers guest accommodation and is situated on a working raisin farm, 14 km from Keimoes and only 60 km from the amazing Augrabies Waterfalls in the Northern Cape. These units can accommodate between 2 to 10 people comfortably while enjoying the views of the vineyards from the patio or lapa.
Die Akker has a bedroom which is comfortably furnished with a king-size bed with white linen, as well as a sleeper couch for an additional 2 people. The en-suite bathroom is spacious with a bath and a shower; there will be towels provided for guests’ convenience. The open-plan living area consists of a TV with selected DStv channels, a well-equipped kitchen, and a small dining table with chairs. A delicious breakfast can be served on the terrace upon guests' request. Home-made rusks with tea and coffee are available in the room.
Amani has a queen-size bed fitted with white linen, and a bathroom with a shower, a basin, and a toilet. Other amenities include a TV, a microwave oven, and a fireplace. This unit boasts a terrace from where guests can enjoy the beautiful views with a sundowner, or their first beverage for the day.
Mitat comprises 2 bedrooms and can accommodate 4 guests. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and had an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, basin and toilet. The second bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds that can be converted into a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin and toilet. Other facilities include a kitchen equipped with a fridge, microwave, oven and stove, a lounge, a dining area, a fireplace, a private pool and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Guests have access to the swimming pool and a braai area with firewood readily available; a lapa to enjoy the views over the vineyard, as well as secure parking for one's vehicle.
Guests can visit the nearby Akkerboom Farm Stall which has a variety of sensational dried fruit, grapes, popular lamb pie and green fig tart; or guests can make a reservation and go for a relaxing massage or any beauty treatment at Bella Rosa Beauty salon. Guests can also enjoy wine tasting at the Orange River Cellars, or go fishing at the local river and visit the quiver tree nursery.
