Die Wa-huis is a charming cottage situated on the top of the hill overlooking the Gamka River on the Matjiesvlei Guest Farm, offering an authentic Karoo stay dating back to the 1800s imbued with family history documented by the current owner. This is the ideal choice for guests who wish to break away from city life through a humble and nostalgic experience

This charming cottage can sleep 2 guests and is furnished with a double bed. It makes use of a bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. Linen and towels are provided.

The unit does not have electricity but fully equipped with candles and lamps and has a kitchenette equipped with a fridge-freezer, 2-plate gas stove, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The lounge has comfy couches and a dining table with chairs.

Outside, guests can enjoy a lovely braai and unwind with a lovely glass of wine whilst seeing the stunning views of the river and mountains.

For nature enthusiasts, the Damrivierkamp is situated on the picturesque shores of the Gamka River. It's an angler's paradise, offering a wide variety of fish species, including yellowfish, black bass, eel, and carp. There are also fantastic waterholes perfect for swimming and rowing. Guests can also experience the Bôjaankop 4x4 route which takes you to the top of Bôjaankop, from where you can enjoy stunning views of the Little Karoo.
