Dimalachite River Lodge & Nature Resort
Description
These 29 fishing sites are located directly next to the river, where you can fish from your tent or caravan and enjoy a lovely view of the river. The stands are approximately 10m by 10m and allows for a maximum of 6 people per site. There are 3 ladies' and 3 men’s ablution blocks. There are three sculleries with warm and cold water. A standard 3-point electricity socket is available for each campsite. Most of the campsites have grass. The sites with more trees have less grass. Each campsite has a fireplace for a campfire and braai. There are taps scattered throughout the camp and the water supplied is clean borehole water. Kiewiet camp is the bigger camp and closer to the swimming pool, jungle gym, and shop. Campers can choose between two ablution blocks. Visarend camp only has 6 campsites and is more private and has two family ablution blocks. Die Hoek has only two campsites and is suitable for bigger friends or family groups.

A standard 3-point electricity socket is available for each site. Most of the campsites have grass. Shaded campsites have less grass. Each site has a campfire/braai on site. The taps scattered throughout the camp provides clean borehole water.

This lodge can accommodate 4 guests. The self-catering lodge has a thatched roof and comprises 1 bedroom with 2 three-quarter beds and an en-suite bathroom with a corner bath & shower. There are 2 built-in beds in the living room. There is also a well-equipped kitchen. Bath towels are supplied. These are two adjacent units but the units each have a private entry, patio and braai area. The lodge is equipped with TV and Open View, however, guests that require DStv need to bring their own decoder, smart card, remote and cables. The lodge offers a great view over the river from a large patio and outside braai area and is more private, and closer to the river (50 m) than the chalets. Distance from closest fishing site is approximately 150 m. Guests staying in lodges and chalets can fish from a few general/sharing campsites that are available to them to use free of charge, however, guests can also book a private fishing site at extra cost (subject to availability).
