If you love Karoo scenery & hospitality, you will love Doornberg. I've been visiting Doornberg for many years and it never disappoints. Set on a working farm in the Sneeuberg Karoo, the accommodation is always clean & comfortable, and the service always warm & friendly. The farm is situated about 10 km outside Nieu Bethesda, so it's also a perfect base if you want to explore this quaint little town.

Amazing energy, friendly and super helpful. Makes you feel like family. Peet made us feel right at home. Friendly, helpful, kind and generous. We loved our stay there and would love to go back again and stay for longer. WiFi only works closer to the main house, but who needs internet when you are in such a beautiful location?

Just amazing . It was a delight. The host is just most welcoming and showed us the farm. Although we had a burst pipe and there was a lot of water in our booked cottage, he just invited us to stay in the main house and moved us to the much bigger cottage the second night. The cleaning staff was amazing.

Peaceful retreat. Doornberg is a beautiful farm with so much history and character. The owner, Peet, is a true host. We had a wonderful visit, walked and rested. Would definitely recommend if the business of the city gets too much!

Relaxed, peaceful stay in a beautiful setting. We were pleasantly surprised by the school house. It had everything we needed in terms of kitchen utensils, braai facilities, towels etc. The swimming pool was lovely and the garden was lush. It was fun to walk around and see the farm animals, and the mountains surrounding the farm are magnificent. The best part was how quiet it was. We felt safe and completely relaxed though we were only there for 2 nights and one day.
