Description
Doornkop22 is a fully furnished self-catering chalet located in the Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Reserve, just 27 km from Carolina in Mpumalanga. This is the ideal getaway for a family or group of friends looking for comfortable lodging, away from city life but close to an array of activities.
The chalet can accommodate up to 8 guests, and comprises 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. 2 of the bedrooms contains a double bed each, and the other 2 bedrooms contain twin single beds. The first bathroom contains a bath, and the second bathroom contains a shower.
The kitchen is well-equipped to prepare and cook meals and also houses both a dishwasher and washing machine. The lounge houses a fireplace, a TV with full HD DStv, as well as a bar area. The living area opens to a patio, with a braai area. The chalet is cleaned daily.
The Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Reserve’s clubhouse offers communal swimming pools, tennis courts, as well as a games room. Basic grocery items and wood can also be purchased here.
Activities available on the reserve include horse riding, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, bird watching, fly fishing in any of the 8 stocked dams and game drives. The reserve is currently stocked with 15 species of non-dangerous large mammals, as well as 203 species of bird.
