Beautiful location, just what one needs to start the new year. A family of 7 with a little pug enjoyed the mountain views and out of this world scenery. We sat for hours on the patio just taking it all in. The lodge is safe enough for the kids to walk about. We did have a troop of baboons watching us; however, one call to the owners and they quickly came to check on us. We are after all in their environment. The road leading to the lodge does require a high-rise vehicle; smaller vehicles will have a problem. The units are spacious enough for all of us, but they do need a bit of cleaning. If you do visit with kids, remember you are in the mountains. Take it all in; there is no WiFi and no TV. Perfect place to reconnect. I would suggest bringing along some board games and outdoor activities. The kids absolutely loved watching the geckos. They have also named them Ari and Dave, LOL. Thys and his family are super accommodating and friendly. This is a family-run establishment, and it shows. We really enjoyed our 2-night stay and will try to visit again. Thank you.
