Description
Duikersdrift Winelands Country Escape is a working boutique wine and olive farm situated in the heart of Tulbagh’s Valley of Abundance. It is just 90 minutes from Cape Town, and is an idyllic setting in which to experience a romantic getaway or family vacation.
Accommodation is offered in 4 luxury cottages that showcase a blend of rustic charm and modern sophistication. Each cottage offers majestic mountain views and features an open-plan en-suite bathroom with a rain shower and large bathtub. Each room also has a refreshment station, a Smart TV, a bar fridge, safe, and complimentary WiFi. Air-conditioning with heating and cooling options, a remote-controlled fan, and a cosy indoor fireplace ensure total comfort in hot summers and cold winters. A battery backup system ensures the cottages have electricity during loadshedding and unexpected power outages.
Outside there is a private patio with a braai facility that offers a beautiful view of the sunset over the mountains. Guests can take in the sounds of the prolific birdlife, or gaze at the canopy of stars. Guest staying in the Couples Cottages can unwind in a wood-fired hot tub which can be heated or enjoyed as a splash pool.
Duikersdrift also offers a secluded guest pool area with pergolas and pool loungers, an on-site restaurant (closed in October 2024), and a children’s playground. An array of activities can be enjoyed on-site or in the surrounding area, including picnics, wine tasting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and more.
