Description
Duikersdrift Winelands Country Escape is a working boutique wine and olive farm situated in the heart of Tulbagh’s Valley of Abundance. Located just 90 minutes from Cape Town, the farm is as idyllic setting in which to experience a romantic getaway or family vacation.
Our four luxury bed and breakfast cottages showcase interiors that reflect a blend of rustic charm and modern sophistication, perfectly complimenting the old-world beauty of Tulbagh. Each cottage offers majestic mountain views and features an open-plan ensuite bathroom with a rain shower and large bathtub, refreshment station, smart TV, bar fridge, safe, and complimentary WiFi. Air-conditioning with heating and cooling options, a remote-controlled fan, and a cosy indoor fireplace ensure total comfort in hot summers and cold winters. A battery backup system ensures our cottages and restaurant have electricity during load shedding and unexpected power outages.
Outside, a private patio with a barbeque facility provides a relaxing vantage point from which to enjoy the sun set over the mountains, take in the sounds of the prolific birdlife, or gaze at the canopy of stars. Guest staying in our Couples Cottages can unwind in a new wood-fired hot tub which can be heated or enjoyed as a splash pool.
Duikersdrift also offers a secluded guest pool area with pergolas and pool loungers, an on-site restaurant (closed in October 2024) serving delicious meals, and a children’s playground. An array of activities can be enjoyed on-site or in the surrounding area, including picnics, wine tasting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and more.
