Eastbrook River Lodge is ideally located in the heart of the Garden Route on a historical farm between Knysna and Sedgefield in the Western Cape. This peaceful haven offers quick and easy access to the N2 highway, and is surrounded by indigenous forests with 1.2 km of pristine river frontage, green rolling pastures, with hidden forested valleys, making this a good choice for nature lovers and for city folks who need to get away from the rat race.
The lodge offers comfortable accommodation at affordable rates in 8 renovated open-plan apartments, which are spacious with different sleeping capacities ranging from 2 to 5 adults and are fully equipped for self-catering. Each apartment is totally self-contained and has its own parking, separate entrance, bathroom, kitchenette, private garden and patio, and braai facilities. Free wood is supplied. Daily servicing is available on request.
Also included, is the luxury of experiencing the healing properties of drinking and washing with pure natural water, as all of the water is sourced on-site from a natural spring and all grey water is diverted to gardens for conservation.
On-site activities include bird watching, cycling, kayaking, swimming, hiking, running, picnics, fishing or simply unwinding on your veranda surrounded by nature and enjoying the sounds of the forest. With unique topography creating microclimates and with enough space to live and clean air to breathe on the beautiful 62-hectare farm, it is home to a wide spectrum of plants, ferns, trees, insects, frogs, birds and other animals. Kayaks, canoes, SUP's, and bikes are available to hire or guests can bring their own.
