English Cottage @ Wetlands Game Lodge is nestled in the scenic Versamel Mountains just outside Wakkerstroom, offering panoramic views of rolling green hills and tranquil bodies of water. Situated at the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains, the lodge is located on 10,500 hectares of mountainous grassland and wetlands.

English Cottage @ Wetlands Game Lodge is a private cottage built on the fringe of a lake, creating a romantic scene. This cottage features African-style decor and comprises 2 en-suite bedrooms. The main and second bedrooms are furnished with a king-size bed and a twin bed, respectively. The en-suite bathrooms are each fitted with a bath, shower, basin, and toilet. Crisp linen and towels are provided.

The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, basic cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. It extends to a dining area and further opens to the lounge area furnished with comfy couches and a lovely bookshelf at the back that guests can take advantage of.

The cottage opens up to a lovely deck with outdoor seating, the perfect spot to just savor a morning coffee, or unwind with a glass of wine at dusk. There is also a lovely lawn with a firepit.

The lodge features diverse game, bird, and plant life that can be explored on a game drive, a quad bike adventure, or a leisurely stroll. Activities include horse riding, hiking, bird watching, and fly fishing. Guests can enjoy an on-site restaurant and bar, with arrangements for breakfast, lunch, and dinner available at an additional cost. This tranquil lodge is perfect for family getaways, romantic escapes, wedding venues, or simply to relax and rejuvenate in nature.
