Description
Esselmont Guest House is a lovely two-story house nestled within the safety of the Essenwood area of Durban North. The house boasts 6 en-suite bedrooms and is surrounded by the urban jungle. It promises a daily escape to serenity, away from regular city life, without forfeiting the conveniences of the local amenities.
The guest house offers 6 bedrooms, each with a double bed. Two of these are family rooms. One has a single sleeper couch and the other a double sleeper couch. The sleeper couches are suitable for adults and children alike.
Each room has an en-suite bathroom with either a bath or a shower, and 1 room has a Jacuzzi bath. Additionally, each room includes a TV with OpenView, a desk, and air-conditioning/heating. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided.
The guesthouse is filled with natural light and boasts generous room sizes. The 3 rooms on the lower level are wheelchair accessible and have a communal lounge, dining room, and kitchen. It’s the same for the second floor, however, the steps make it not wheelchair-friendly.
Each of the communal kitchens is equipped with a double-door fridge, gas stove, microwave, kettle, cutlery, crockery, and washbasin. Guests are required to clean up after themselves unless prior arrangements are made with the hosts. A washing machine is also available.
Guests have access to a private swimming pool and lapa and braai area that has a bar area and comfortable garden chairs. A small kitchen under the lapa is available.
This charming guesthouse is situated in the heart of one of South Africa's most vibrant cities, just a stone's throw away from the thriving arts scene, coffee shops, and restaurants that Berea is known for. Yet, it provides a peaceful haven, sheltered from the hustle and bustle of city life.
