Esselmont Guest House is a lovely non-smoking two-storey house nestled within the safety of the Essenwood area of Durban North. Wake up to the natural splendour in this 6 en-suite bedroom House, listed at an affordable daily rate of R1000 per room per night. Surrounded by the urban jungle, it promises a daily escape to serenity, away from regular city life, without forfeiting the conveniences of the local amenities.
The guest house offers 6 bedrooms, all with a double bed in each. Two of these are family rooms. One has a single-bed sleeper couch and the other a double-bed sleeper couch which can sleep adults and children alike.
All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms fitted with either a bath or a shower, and 1 room has a Jacuzzi bath. Additionally, each room includes a TV with OpenView, a desk, and air-conditioning/heating. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided.
Brimming with natural light, the Guest House boasts generous room sizes. All bedrooms are spacious and ideal for the modern city dweller or small family, and the en-suite bathrooms promise the perfect blend of functionality and elegance.
The 3 rooms on the lower level are wheelchair accessible and have a communal lounge, dining room, and kitchen. It’s the same for the second floor, however, the steps make it not wheelchair-friendly.
Each of the communal kitchens is equipped with a double-door fridge, gas stove, microwave, kettle, cutlery, crockery, and washbasin. Guests are required to clean up after themselves unless prior arrangements are made with the hosts. A washing machine is also available for use by the guests.
Guests have access to a private swimming pool and Lapa braai area which has a bar area and comfortable outside garden chairs. A small kitchen under the Lapa is available.
