Situated in Hout Bay, Ether Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a charming north-facing cottage set in a large indigenous garden with lovely views. The property is positioned high on the mountainside and overlooks the back of Table Mountain and the Oranjekloof Nature Reserve.
Accommodation comprises 2 units which include The Cottage and The Main House. The cottage is adjacent to the main house, and can accommodate up to 4 guests. The cottage comprises 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with a bath and shower, and an open-plan kitchenette and living area. The cottage also features a private deck. The first bedroom contains a king-size bed and the second bedroom includes a queen-size bed. The living area comprises the kitchenette, a small dining room table and chairs, and a lounge area with an Apple TV with Netflix. Guests have access to a separate entrance, free Wi-Fi and secure parking. The cottage is fully alarmed and has discreet security bars.
The Main house is suited to accommodate 6 guests and has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Bedroom 1 is upstairs and features a king-size bed with an en-suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 is also located upstairs and features a bunk bed. Bedroom 3 is located on the ground floor and features 2 single beds (or can be joined as a king if advised in advance). Bedrooms 2 and 3 make use of the large shared bathroom. Other facilities include an open-plan lounge equipped with a 55" Smart TV (with Netflix and Disney+), a spacious kitchen, and a large dining table. Guests have access to a separate entrance, free Wi-Fi and secure parking. The house is fully alarmed and has discreet security bars.
Guests have access to over half an acre of grounds to explore. Rich in indigenous flora, the garden attracts bird life. Guests are welcome to enjoy the grounds including the garden, swimming pool, trampoline, gazebo and braai facilities.
Constantia Nek is approximately 5 minutes away, with trendy restaurants. Wine farms, including Groot Constantia, Constantia Glen, Silvermist, and Beau Constantia, are located approximately 10 minutes away. Steenberg Wine Estate is approximately 20 minutes away. Guests can visit beaches, and the village centre of Hout Bay with grocery stores and other shops.
