This was where the milk tank stood when the farm was still a dairy farm - these days Excelsior is largely a sheep farm. The Enjinkamer comes from the time before Eskom. This is where the engine stood that generated the farm's power - the cement slab in the kitchenette is the remnant of the engine's pedestal.
