Fairhills Caravan Park and Camping Ground is situated in the rolling hills of KwaZulu-Natal’s South Coast, just 1.9 km from Ramsgate’s Blue Flag beach and the lagoon. Guests can enjoy a relaxing holiday at this coastal resort with peaceful lush surroundings full of bird life.
Accommodation is offered in 44 camping and caravan sites with a variety of different type and size of stands available. The larger-sized stands can be used for both large and medium-sized caravans or large tented camping, Each site is equipped with an electrical power point and a demarcated braai area. There are sunny and shady sites available. The medium-sized camping stands are slightly smaller than some of the bigger caravan stands. Most, if not all of them, can accommodate a 4-6-sleeper tent.
There are 3 ablution block facilities supplied by the borehole when required. The one is the larger main ablution block facility located on the upper terrace, while the remaining 2 smaller convenience ablution blocks are strategically situated close to the lower and middle terrace areas. Each ablution block has a scullery as well as a hand-laundry washing facility. There is also a coin-operated washing machine in the middle ablution laundry building which has a convenient ‘honesty library’, with a selection of books and magazines to browse through.
Accommodation is also offered in a self-catering caravan, ideal for those who enjoy the caravan experience without having to tow and set up the caravan. The caravan can accommodate 2 guests, and comes with a private patio area which has portable braai facilities and on-deck camping table and chairs. Guests are required to bring their own bedding, sheets and bath towels, linen is no provided. Guests in the self-catering caravan have access to communal ablution facilities nearby.
The resort also offers a 4-bedroom guest house sleeping up to 8 guests. The house comprises 2 bathrooms, a guest toilet, and a kitchen, lounge and dining area. The house is equipped with selected DStv channels and has an outdoor patio area with a dartboard next to the braai and fire pit.
Please note that not all the sites have built-in braais. Portable braais may be obtained from the site office for a refundable deposit. The resort offers a communal swimming pool, trampoline, jungle gym, sports and games area, as well as a nature trail for guests enjoyment.
Ramsgate is situated between Margate and Southbroom, with access to South Coast beaches and attractions, including deep-sea fishing, Wild 5 Adventures at Oribi Gorge, Wild Coast Sun, and golf courses.
