Description
Fisherman's Rest offers comfortable self-catering accommodation situated on Main Road in the heart of Old Velddrif. This beautifully renovated fisherman's cottage serves as charming holiday escape for up to 6 people. Featuring vaulted reed ceilings, handsome furnishings, a lovely garden, and convenient access to the Bergrivier and local shops.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms, each furnished with 1 double bed with accompanying bedside tables and reading lamps. The full bathroom includes a shower, large Victorian bath, basin, and toilet. Crisp, white linen and towels are provided.
The kitchen is fully-equipped for self-catering including a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee- making facilities. The open-plan lounge area has plenty of comfortable seating, 2 indoor fireplaces for chilly winter evenings, and a TV. DStv included.
The patio is an excellent social area, providing a lovely built-in braai, plenty of seating, and a particularly inviting hammock for afternoon relaxation.
The accommodation is pet-friendly and child-friendly. There is a hot tub, boma, and a swing set and trampoline for children. The accommodation also has a 1,2 m picket fence to keep pets safe.
As well as being a great fishing and diving destination with 35 different fish species, Velddrif also has miles of wonderful unspoilt beaches situated along the berg river estuary which sports 127 waterbird, 97 other bird as well.
